Log Book 2007 February 18 Cromhall Quarry
First dive of the year. A good turnout for our first visit here. The site entrance is quite a surprise (you'll have to visit yourself to find out). Facilities are really basic but the centre does make you feel welcome. Air is available. Snack bars and coffee etc and a portaloo.Underwater the vis' is very good but there isn't much to see. With a maximum depth of 18m the lake is ideal for training and should become popular with divers from S. Wales due to its close proximity. The quarry is a site of special scientific interest due to its dinosaur fossils & colony of great crested newts (which were everywhere underwater).
March 10 London International Dive Show
Another early start. The show as always was packed, we attended two of the lectures, the highlight being Leigh Bishops. Picked up some kit bargains and before we new it. It was time to leave.
April 7 Diving St Brides Haven
Met at West Wales Divers to get air and have the usual breakfast, then off to St Brides for the day. The weather was fantastic felt like July. The diving was fun but the vis' wasn't up to much at 3m max. Not a lot of fish but plenty of spider crabs for Matt to bother! Finished the day at Little Haven with beer and chips. Looking forward to our next trip.
April 22 Diving Chesil Beach
Shore diving the wreck of the Royal Adelaide.
