Dive Supervisor

Introduction

Trainee must have achieved Dive Leader certificate, hold Diver Rescue Award, and must complete 25 additional dives in a variety of conditions. No morethan two qualifying dives in any one day and no more than two qualifying dives at any one site. 12 dives must be sea dives. The certified Dive Supervisor has an advanced level of practical experience and a wide knowledge of dive theory. Has also proved ability to organise and supervise diving expeditions.

Practical Assessment

  1. Plan and lead four diving expeditions (including two boat dives).
  2. Plan and execute a roped diver search, during which time the candidate must act as both tender and diver.
  3. Plan and execute a simulated decompression dive with stops.

Written Examination

The trainee must pass a written examination incorporating theory at all levels, up to and including Dive Supervisor.
